205/45R17 Zestino Gredge 07RR TW180

The 07RR (180TW) is the softest compound in the Zestino Gredge range, a very predictable, high performance road legal tyre with a bias towards trackdays, time attack, super sprinting, tarmac rally sprints and drifiting for the advanced driver.

Being ADR approved and road legal the 07RR is best suited to lighter cars who enjoy driving to and from the track without changing tyres. The 07RR comes upto operating temperature quickly and inspires great confidence cold making it a great option for hill climbing and supersprinting.

As Alek from Racefix has shown in his independent review the 07RR only gets faster as things get hot netting them a 1:10.1 at Wakefield Park in an NA 86 with coilovers and brakes. Alek has since dipped into the low 1:09’s on the 07RR with more modifications and a 1:51.4 at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Alek averages 7 trackdays to a set of 07RR proving it’s great lifespan whilst still punching great laptimes. The 1200kg Racefix 86 aims for 31psi hot with no more than 3 consecutive hotlaps before introducing cool down laps. Tyre pressures are dependent on vehicle weight, vehicle setup and driving style.

Recently, Trackschools John Boston equipped a brand new Toyota GR Yaris with a set of Zestino 07RR to achieve a 1:09.62, nearly 2 seconds faster than the factory delivered road tyre. Andrew Hawkins of Motive DVD also found the 07RR considerably faster than the OEM Yaris tyre going 4 seconds faster at a Twilight rallysprint.

The 07RR also nets fantastic results in competition drifting. Brad Tuohy recently took out the 2022 WTAC Drift Championship in his twin supercharged V8 Toyota 86.

Centre Straight Groove

Variable Wing Groove

Two variations of wing grooves are place along the outer tread with different lengths and angle. The longer groove assists in channelling and dispersing water out of the shoulder while allowing for improved cornering performance. The shorter groove provides directional stability.

The lighting groove combined with the variable wing grooves allow for improved lateral traction for maximum side bite
